Chicharon is a deep fried pork rind and it can be eaten and used in several ways. I like my Special Chicharon with tomatoes and hot rice— It’s super yummy!

Most people like their Chicharon with vinegar while drinking ice cold beer. Chicharon is also used in many Filipino dishes like bagnet, bagoong, pinakbet, and so on.

There are many versions and tastes of Chicharon here in the Philippines because of the huge demand. There’s the ever popular Bulacan, Pampanga, Cebu versions.

One should limit their Chicharon intake because it’s very high in bad cholesterol.
