>“All corporal punishment and all other forms of humiliating or degrading punishment of children is hereby prohibited in the home, in the school, in institutions, in alternative care systems, in employment and all other settings,”

As an advocate of positive discipline to children, I was happy to hear talks of pushing the bill that prohibits corporal punishment to children being revived  by good hearted representatives. This was long overdue and has been sitting in the Senate since the 14th Congress.

Along with this bill, parents should be taught how to handle and discipline their children without resorting to violence or humiliation. Reinforcement and knowledge support to parents is a must. There should be a ground to set which kind of punishment is acceptable and which is not.

What’s your idea on corporal punishment?
