Thanks to my books sponsor, Tatcee, for generously lending me collections from her her mountain high book shelf.

Last week I was able to finish 3 books: Love In the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and Dance Dance by Haruki Murakami.

Let me start my book review with Love in the Time of Cholera. It has been months since my last date with a book and I long to savor the smell of a book, the words and the imagination lost to the world created by the author. Gabriel Garcia Marquez’ style of writing is slow, detailed and imaginative. It made me savor the words and really ponder on the scenes he created in the story. It’s one of those book you keep on thinking even after you have put it down when it was time to do things you “should” be doing. My thought after reading through the end was how tragic the story was and what surprises me was my craving for more of Marquez’ books.

Oh and this was also made into a movie.

Get this book and be immersed in a love story that was tragic but very interesting as I am sure you will be able to relate to.
