I didn’t know anything who Finn & Jake were until Peaches couldn’t stop talking about them and so I decided to sit down with her and watch Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time. Honestly, I’m glad I did 🙂
It’s an original animated series from Cartoon Network and the main characters were Finn and Jake. They’re best friends and they are always in for an adventure.
This is Finn. He’s passionate about heroism. For a twelve-year-old human boy, saving princesses and battling sinister wizards is quite an admirable hobby.  Finn doesn’t know why he’s compelled to protect good from evil; it’s just something he knows he must do.  Raised in the wild from infancy and knowing nothing of his real parents, perhaps he will someday learn the secrets of his mysterious past.  But in the meantime… adventure awaits!
This is Finn’s best bud, Jake. He is the confidante, the dependable buddy, the designated driver when Finn gets all tuckered out. He’s the crutch when Finn falls, the guiding hand to pick him back up; Jake is Finn’s best friend. Like a cool older sibling (Jake’s 28 in dog years) Finn can always turn to him for advice about confusing stuff, like emotions and girls.  His reassuring presence lets Finn feel free to act like a goofball. Jake also has magical stretching powers!

It’s a fun show to watch! And I must say very creative too 🙂 I love how the characters are funny and colorful and most of all the language is kid-friendly. Catch ADVENTURE TIME every Monday at 7:00PM on Cartoon Network and have a great boding moment with your child!
