I have never heard of The Legend Villas if not for an event with the Mom Bloggers, to think it’s located near my home! The Legend Villas is an elegant hotel with amenities and services that your entire family will love. Their room rates are reasonable but the staff are very friendly and polite. The restaurant that caters to the Legend Villa guests is Lola Maria Restaurant. It is a relaxing place where family and friends can sit around and share a hearty meal. They offer ala carte and buffet meals from festive to regional Filipino home-style cooked meals.

A few days ago, I was invited to try 8 of their celebrity dishes which they introduced as Degustation. Celebrity dishes because each of the dishes were endorsed by 8 different celebrities.

It’s composed of:

Vegetable Quiche by fashion designer Randy Ortiz

baked tender pastry crust with fresh vegetables and a dallop of sour cream on top

I could not stop eating this! This was served first and when I tasted it, it’s a done deal. Lola Maria Restaurant is where my family will eat on special occasions.

Prawn Cakes by show car maker Atoy Llave

-Oriental style minced prawns coated with bread crumbs and served with hoisin sauce

Fish Pinipig by actress Iza Calzado

– cream dory fillet covered with crispy pinipig flakes served with a cayenne (or you can request to omit cayenne) mayo dip

Cream dory is a main stay on our bi-weekly grocery so this will be my next recipe project. Healthy and very appealing especially to kids who are picky eaters. If you want to try the recipe, give me a buzz.

Cocido by the food blogger, Anton Diaz

– beef ribs stewed in rich tomato sauce with chorizo and fresh vegetables served with eggplant dip

I have never tasted anything like this. The concept is kinda like Kare-kare where in the eggplant dip is the bagoong. The beef was so tender that it kinda melts in your mouth. The chorizo was definitely a real treat. I never thought it’ll be a great combination (I’m not a fan of tomato based food but this Cocido, made me finish the whole serving!)

Garlic & Rosemary Rib Eye by actress Ara Mina

– best cut of beef marinated and seared with fresh garlic and rosemary with a siding of buttered vegetables
I was so engrossed and so in love with the dish. It also comes with a mash potato that tastes like what a mash potato should taste- creamy, milky and all natural! Yep, they used real potatoes instead of the powdered ones that taste like flour.

Ensaymada Pudding by supermodel Danica Magpantay

– day old ensaymada with custard, baked and topped with queso de bola.
My dear SIL, finished 2 servings of this! If I was not too full, I think I could have eaten 3 or 4 more!

Ube & Langka Panna Cotta by actress Sherilyn Reyes-Tan
– light Italian dessert of fresh cream, flavored with langka and topped with homemade ube
Fried Suman and Tsokolate by model Wilma Doesnt

– fried suman sa ibos drizzled with tsokolate

3 piece drink shots

-Pineapple Pomelo, Pandan ice tea, Dalandan & mint Slush

Degustation costs P1,350 nett per person (minimum of 5 persons) and in terms of the serving, it’s very reasonable and I’m sure everyone in your family will have a great time.
Lola Maria restaurant also offers to-go packages. They packed it so stylish that you can have a to-go party anytime!
