A way to become successful in any career path you choose is to create a work space that fosters creativity, brain power and energy. Today, I decided to write down necessities for my work at home work space. These are the things that should always be within reach so I can function well as a WAHM.

1. CORKBOARD & CALENDAR

It looks clean on this photo but today it isn’t! I wish to prettify it a bit but as you all know, I don’t have any creative juices flowing just yet.

But the most important thing for now is that it works well for me, I can check on my schedule at a glance without rummaging through my diary and my Google calendar. Every single activity has to fit right in or else my entire schedule needs to be rearranged.

2. DESK FAN

Can you see my white & pink fan peeking?

Philippine weather can be very unpredictable, one day we’re all cold and bundled up and the next, we’re sweating and feeling the heat. I don’t like sweat and heat so I have to have my trusty desk fan.

3. GIANT WATER BOTTLE

I could work for hours without getting up. I sometimes lose myself with work so I have to be hydrated.

4. GADGETS AND GIZMOS

My mobile phone is within reach, our wireless landline, my Ipad (when Peaches’ isn’t home playing with it), calculator, and so on.

These are all important part of my daily grind.

5. DIARY AND PENS

My favorite planner so far is the green notebook my brother in law gave me. It’s small but complete with pages and forms that I need for my WAHM business and future plans. I like to write, a lot. More if I use colored pens!

I’m of those women who write schedules using different pen colors.

Lastly, my last work space tool is my lucky trinkets. Buddha beads given to me and the Maneki. Mostly for luck but also because I love to place them as decors too since they’re colorful. I might add silver bullion coins when we return from our US trip.

How about you, what are your work space necessities?
